Beautiful and Unwinding Bali and Lombok - 14 days

A 14 day tour starting in Ubud, Bali and continuing to Lovina and Candidasa. After spending some time in Candidasa it is time to step aboard a fast boat that brings you to Gili Trawangan, one of three small islands off the coast of Lombok. This trip finishes with some last days in Senggigi, Lombok.

Day 1:    Start Bali, transfer to Ubud
 
 

Beginning this tour in the South of Bali, our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Ubud. Ubud is located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines in the central foothills of the Gianyar Regency.

Day 2:    Ubud, Excursion of Spiritual Tour Gunung Kawi & Tirta Empul
 
 

Starting with breakfast at the hotel before going on a spiritual tour. Today you will see the spiritual side of Bali. The tour starts off with a visit to a foundation where you are shown how to make a ‘Canang’, or traditional offers. These offers will be brought to the tempels to ask permission to the gods to enter. Your guide is there to explain about the rituals and to answer any of your questions. After that, you will take a holy bath to purify yourself at the Tirta Empul Tempel.
At Gunung Kawi you will see beautiful rice fields and a carved facade in the mountains dating back to the 11th century. Those are called the Kings of Tombs, in commemoration of the Udayana Kingdom. Back to the foundation you will be served a local lunch at a beautiful spot amidst the rice fields. After lunch you have time to interact with the children of the foundation who are orphans that get a chance to a better start by being schooled.

Day 3:    Ubud, day at leisure
 
 

Have breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day at leisure.

Day 4:    Transfer to Lovina
 
 

Today we are leaving Ubud behind. After breakfast the transfer from your hotel to Lovina is ready to take you up North.
Lovina actually consists of multiple villages now known under one name. Lovina is a beach destination in the North of Bali and is located on the Northern shores of the Island. Because of the many volcanoes on the island the beaches here are black sanded but nonetheless very pretty.

Day 5:    Lovina, day at leisure
 
 

Have breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day at leisure.

Day 6:    Transfer to Candidasa
 
 

You leave after breakfast with a transfer from your hotel in Lovina to Candidasa with an afternoon and evening without plans.

Day 7:    Candidasa, Tenganan Village Trekking
 
 

This morning you leave at 8 am from the hotel to start a trek to Tenganan Village. The trek of today starts by crossing a river followed by walking through an impressive jungle. Halfway you stop for a jungle drink after which you continue the trek to Tenganan. This place is one of the last traditional Balinese villages of the island. Here you get to experience the Bali of many years ago.

Day 8:    Transfer to Gili Trawangan
 
 

You leave after breakfast with a transfer from your hotel to the harbour of Candidasa where you catch the boat to Gili Trawangan, one of the three small Gili Islands off the coast of Lombok.

Day 9:    Gili Trawangan, Free Program
 
 

Today you have the whole day free at leisure. You can explore the Island and enjoy sunrise or sunset.

Day 10:    Gili Trawangan, Free Program

Day 11:    Transfer to Senggigi
 
 

Have breakfast at the hotel before you’ll be transferred to Senggigi in Lombok where the last days of this tour will be spend. Senggigi is the main tourist strip of the Indonesian Island of Lombok, stretched out along the several kilometers of the beachfront, just to the North of the Capital City Mataram.

Day 12:    Senggigi, day at leisure
 
 

Have breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day at leisure.

Day 13:    Village Tour & Trekking Tetebatu (Sasak Village tour)
 
 

In the morning you will be transferred to Tetebatu and start with a walk for about two hours through rice- and tobacco fields that lie on the slope of the Rinjani Volcano. Along the way you will be met by enthusiastic children!
By Cidomo (horse and cart) you will explore the surrounding area and then switch to the car that will bring you to Pringgasela. Pringgasela is a village well known for its hand woven textile named Songket.
After lunch you continue to Masbagik, where pottery is still made in the traditional way.  The last stop will be in Loyok to see bamboo handicraft.

Day 14:    Transfer out
 
 

Today is the end of this tour. You will be brought back to Bali and to the airport or the next destination.

4. Using this information your personal travel consultant will suggest a personalised, tailor-made itinerary for you - complete with recommended accommodation and activities, prices and information about the area. Once you have read your itinerary, your consultant will answer your questions and revise it until you are satisfied.

5. Once you confirm the itinerary we will ask you to pay your deposit so we can complete and confirm all bookings.
